I am one of the most pessimistic person you will ever know. For all of you who don't know what pesstimistic means it's expecting the worst possible outcome. I am a little bit of optomistic but whenever I do something or hear about something, I always assume the worse.
Example number 1: When I got in an accident a few years ago, I thought I was going to die and thought my life was going to end that very day.
When I look at the world I'm pessimistic, but when I look at people I am optimistic.
Carl Rogers
When I look at the world, I assume what life would be like if something happened to it, but when I look at people I see something I would never have guessed.
I never walk in a room with a positive attitude, wheather its going for a job interview, after a test or going to write a test. I know in my heart that something's going to happen, it just hasn't happened yet.
I've gone through alot in myself to think this way. I wasn't just born pesstimistic. There's just some stuff I've gone through that made me think this way. In some cases I do think positive even though I know i'm lying to myself.
That's something I think not enough people talk about. A lot of people have this sort of mask that's like "everything is perfect and I believe that everything will work out!" which is a good outlook but I think there's a bit of a pessimist in all of us. I can completely relate to you.
ReplyDeleteI completely understnad what you're talking about, and I've gone through that too. I would always expect the worst outcome to find that the outcome wasn't that bad. I know that things may seem like they are hard to handle and they may seem like they are not worth finding or figuring out (if that makes sense) but just know I'm here if you want to talk! :)Love you girlie!
ReplyDeleteI think we're all pessimistic at heart but we hide it. No one is completely happy and cheerful all the time, which may sound horrible but its true.
