Jamie Hubley

I know it's been awhile since I have blogged but I've been really busy ! :(
I also know I'm very late for this but I want to dedicate this blog post to Jamie Hubley

For anyone who doesn't know who Jamie Hubley is he is a 15 year old boy who committed suicide because he was bullied for his sexuality.

“It gets better. It seems hard, you know, I think being different is always gonna be a tough climb. There's always gonna be people that are scared of it. But at the end of the day you give those bullies, those people, that are so ignorant, if you give them the power to affect you, you're letting them win. And they don't deserve that. What you're doing by being yourself is you're keeping it real, and you're being really brave.”
― Adam Lambert

Bullying hurts and no one deserves to be bullied for their race, colour, sexuality and even by stereotypes. Jamie Hubley took his own life because he couldn't handle being bullied. If someone took a stand and stayed by his side he may be here right now. Jamie is now in a better place and will never be forgotten. Jamie left this world as an inspiration. He spoke out to a lot of people and I hope that one day everyone will get the message that bullying is a serious matter. Suicide in Canada is known to be the second leading cause of death that affects gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender youth. It's time to stop bullying.

If you know someone who is being bullied don't just stand their and watch, do something about it. Help change the world by calling http://www.childline.org.uk/
R.I.P Jamie Hubley, You will never be forgotten. <3

  1. The saddest thing in this is that I was following Jamie's tumblr blog and that's where he posted some of his final words. It's heartbreaking to see people just like ours think less of themselves because of the words from others. Words that many people think have no effect. Even worse; these words could have been prevented and a life could have been saved. Now a family has to go without a son, friends have to learn to mourn and the world is one beautiful soul short.

Bullying is an extremely important topic and in resent times has been put in the spotlight for change. We know so much about it and there's so many ways to just put an end to it... the only thing left to ask is how many more young people need to die before people really open their eyes. How many more news worthy events concerning us do we need to see before all our knowledge actually starts getting used.

I think one more is one to many.
